FINE WINE & SPIRITS
THE BEGINNING..

There are many legends abouts the origin of wine, and practically each winemaking region has its own beautiful story.

According to the most realistic story in the Bible, Noah came down from the top of Ararat Mountain in Armenia and planted the first grape vine. By this, he set the precedent for Viticulture. Winemaking chronicles in Armenia are as old as the Viticulture in the country. According to the Greek's ancient history, premium quality wines were being exported from Armenia about two thousand years ago.

One of the leaders of wine-producing enterprises in Armenia is Ijevan Wine Factory. Being located in the northeast region of Armenia, its organic vineyards have favorable climatic conditions for the growth of the European varieties of grapes such as Rkatsiteli, Aligote, Cabernet, Pinu, etc. From these grapes premium champagne wine-materials and unique wines are made. Ijevan Wine factory exports its wines to the Baltic States, The Ukraine, France, USA, Canada and the Russian Federation.

At international tasting events, wines of Ijevan have been awarded Golden and Silver medals and Honorary Diplomas.
